    LSU and NFL great Tittle passed at age 90. RIP

    Sad to learn. Fewer of the really old guard left. My mother taught him Books & Libraries at LSU.

    Just texted my son....a student at LSU, I told him I almost named him Yelverton Herbert and he owes me big time.

    Waiting for him to text me back..."who's that" ?? Damn millenials. Lol

    You know, Y. A. Tittle played with Ray Coates of Jesuit High...my alma mater. Mr. Coates taught me math and coached the football team. We ran the old single wing.

    Another great contemporary from New Orleans (via Hondouras) was Steve Van Buren. My dad told me there were salacious rumors about him in high school that he was black. (They lived in the same neighborhood)
