He may not have caused it but unless I am reading it wrong, Obama isn't exactly helping things either. I see one drop in the entirety of that upward trend then it's right back into up mode.

It WILL reduce carbon emissions, that's not impossible at all. It worked with reducing sulphur emissions 20 years ago. Sat on his hands? McChrystal and the pentagon and Obama have been all over the Afghanistan question and its waiting for one thing--to see if the corrupt, self-serving, and problematic Karzai remains in office. What we do next depends greatly on what kind of government we are dealing with in Afghanistan. Obama sent more troop to Afghanistan early on and stepped up the missile attacks on Al Qaida in Pakistan. so what was obama wrong about? how high unemployment would go without stimulus or how high it would go with the stimulus? it seems obvious that he underestimated how bad it would be (unless you think that the stimulus increased unemployment). so what? so he cant predict the future. at least he didnt predict an obvious overestimate of unemployment in 2009-10 without stimulus just to make himself look better. no one will ever know the effect of the stimulus. but it does seem premature to say much about it either way. there is still a big chunk of it to spend and there will be a significant lag between when it is spent and when it has an effect. besides, looks like your graph may indicate a plateau. we'll see.
