Spicer just went on CNN to apologize. Now, from the get-go, I understood what he was trying to say... even Hitler, for all his ghastly deeds, didn't attack his own cities with.... wait, what... wtf am I saying? Here's Spicer's BIG problem... he lies so much, he invents so many alternative facts, he freewheels extemporaneously so often without the slightest regard for truth, and, MOST DISGUSTINGLY, his Administration has cozied up so often with Nazi sympathizers and Holocaust deniers... that this Hitler gaffe was probably coming from the same cesspool of automatic hatred for minorities and for truth. Who can even accept his apology as sincere when he has a severe credibility problem? As far as I'm concerned, it's the same type of apology as that one today by the CEO of United Airlines... it wasn't issued out of remorse but out of his recognition that this time he went too far. Spicer's apology is not enough. He knows that a lie can travel around the world many times before real truth catches up.... which is why it's his principal method of presentation. The apology is worthless because it won't change his M.O. He should resign or be fired... IMMEDIATELY.
When a GOP doesn't it it's a lie. When a Dem does it they just misspoke. It's like the Trump "wiretap". A lie is void of truth in every sense.
