If Les leaves it's going to be because a fuckstick fanbase will run off the greatest coach in the history of LSU. And after that you all get what you deserve when LSU is the SEC West Vanderbilt for the 10 years that follow.
I almost corrected that, too, then thought about actually creating a thread describing the difference between lose, loose, and all of the variations on those two words since it happens over and over in numerous threads by multiple people. Thanks for beating me to it, LOL.
Salle, honest question here. What if in 2-3 years LSU became the SEC West Vandy, because of Miles? You would be ok with it because of the 10 before?
Allow me to address this point: For ten years...ten, Miles haters have been predicting the demise of the LSU program under Miles. "It hasn't happened yet, but it will, and when it does, I will have been right all along," is a familiar line of thought. So far, GRU and the minions have been wrong, wrong, wrong. If we fall to the level of Vandy for even a couple of years, Miles will be gone. It's as simple as that. But it hasn't happened yet, and frankly, with the talent on the field, I don't see it happening any time soon. And TCUTiger is all up on Patterson this year for his impressive campaign (albeit in the much weaker Big 12), but what was Patterson's record last year? 4-8 and no bowl. With a poor QB who this year is looking much better. This is just one example to lend some perspective. Could you imagine the roasting of Miles if he ever turned in a 4-8 record? No. Because a bad year for Miles is 8-4, that's why. We're spoiled, actually.
We should all be allowed to change our opinions when new information presents itself. I would have a much different feeling about the state of LSU's program under Miles if we had a sub .500 record (overall) in 2015-17. As for now, we only have the incredible success over the past 10 years to consider.
Ask us after Les has a couple of losing seasons. That is what makes a Vandy of a team. Les has not even finished a season with 5 losses so far. Nick has.
I'm absolutely not agreeing or disagreeing with this statement (or any previous), but we lost 5 games in 2008.
