So your saying if the offense was putting up great numbers, but we were losing games, you would be ok with this?
No you dipshit, if the offense was putting up numbers it is quite possible LSU would be un de fucking feated. Geez no wonder you guys don't get it
Cause you were the one that brought it up...remember this... "It just can't be @@tirk you must be crazy, unrealistic, to expect a top 5 recruiting class to include a QB that can actually pass the fucking football. What are you thinking!"
Show me where in that statement there was ANY mention of anything to do with a gump? Everyone likes to tout the recruiting of the great Miles. Well where in all of that greatness is a god damned quarterback? You know, the most important piece of the god damned team? Nothing to do with bama, don't give two shits about bama. Les recruits for LSU. He needs to find a god damned QB and fast.
Sorry, I'm fucking pissed with all this penny ante bullshit about this and that. I get that you are in the miles camp and I get that. I know he isn't near as bad as I make him out to be but God damnit it is high time for at least the ones that have some sense to realize that Jennings isn't the fucking answer. If you and I sat down and had a beer I KNOW you would admit that. I mean really, who gives a shit about nicky or where he gets his god damned players, unless they are from OUR state because OUR coach can't beat their coach. You know, the important shit.
Hey, do you know that last year we had a 3k QB, 2x 1k Wr and 1 x 1k RB. Whooooo Fucking Hooo! And just what did we win?
Nope, negas would still complain because ultimately W/L is what matters. Even sophisticated negas such as myself, however, who have appreciation for what Miles has accomplished, recognize a major issue. Despite the great record under Miles, a passing offense seems like it would complete the puzzle and result in a much higher clip of success. Miles would be Saban and Saban would be a Richt/Miles. I'm hoping that bringing in Cameron was the answer (last year was a success) and that this is just a bump in the road toward consistently solid offense. But you know, it's hard to have faith when last year seems like the outlier and this year seems like a return to the norm. I'm still hopeful that Jennings and Harris will be molded into successful QBs, but it's hard and I can fully appreciate the skepticism. One of the things that bugs me; we lost 2 games our NC year with a very effective offense and a strong defense. We lost 2 games last year with an amazing offense and a struggling defense. And we went undefeated till the NC the year we blew it against Bama with an awful offense. Which isn't entirely true, because Lee led a solid offense until Jefferson took over. I guess it makes me wonder, even though it seems obvious that an improvement in passing offense would lead to more wins and championships, would it really? Not last year. If passing O isn't the problem, what is?
Well, you could add those, but considering there is a pretty long run since 2008 of poor performance, you could also say offense is trending down, and that is when Miles recruits took over QB. 2007 was a solid year on both sides of the ball. Before that, JarJar was QB and though he could sling it, he was always pulling us out of holes he got us in. I've always felt the accomplishments under Russell were outweighed by the potential for accomplishments. Curious how strictly passing o rated.
