It just can't be @tirk you must be crazy, unrealistic, to expect a top 5 recruiting class to include a QB that can actually pass the fucking football. What are you thinking! Oh wait, we have one and he is rotting under the guise of "learning the playbook" or "not quite ready" or whatever other excuse. Anyone that has ever watched a down of football (and yes that includes you most of all @LSUDad ) has to admit that Harris is the talent out of these two. If you don't see it or realize it or understand it then perhaps you should move on to curling or bowling or softball. Bottom line people, do what you will with it but Jennings sucks. He isn't any good and he isn't going to get any better. I'm sorry, I hate it, I really wish he would but he won't. I know it hurts, I know it is mean, but it is a big bad ugly world out there. I can't wait to see what happens with the new class. All those top notch QB's that are "interested". Just more of the same.
Tonight Former LSU QB Alan Risher said something, he said it didn't matter, high school, college or the Pro's, he could tell if he was gonna get beat out by another QB. Some kids think they have a job locked up, don't do whats needed. Last year I remarked about what LSU had as a strength, QB, WR's and RB's. In this day and time, you use those strengths. This year, OL and RB are the strengths, its that simple. If Mett was still around, we would be passing more, because he was an NFL QB, we don't have that now, not this year yet. Ever heard a QB working in a system? You know the ones that throw for 1,000's of yards. Great for college, but Pro teams kind of reserve judgment. They want to see them out of a system. Mett, Hill, OBJ and Landry have all started in the NFL this year. Trai Turner was said by many, crazy to come out early, only started 20 games, only 20 years old, too many knocks against him. But the scouts saw a player, very good speed, very athletic, a young guy that they could work with. He was held out the last game due to a bad ankle, an you could see by their OL getting beat up. Don't be shocked to see the Panthers go after another OL this next draft.
I'll spell it out for you @shane0911, bama has finished #1 by just about every service the last 5 out of 6 years, they had to go to Fla St to get a backup QB. #1 recruiting class for 5 out of six years and they couldn't find a QB. Do you know, only 3 QB's have ever started a game in the saban era: J P Wilson, McElroy and McCarron. The "Only" QB saban recruited was McCarron, He "Inherited" the first two. Yep, the great and powerful oz, has only recruited one starting QB in his 8 years at bama. An like I said, had to call Jimbo for a Back-up.
Tirk, you do know the biggest years of offensive production at LSU has come under Les Miles? If you want I can get you the numbers.
Of course they have. offense is up across the entire landscape of college football. I would guess everyones record year at any school is likely within the last 10-15 years? what does that matter? lsus most prolific year on offense had to be rohans last season. once again wake me when anything changes. at least lou tepper had a 5 yr plan for his drop linebacking.
Over 57% last year, only one team ever had a better % since they have been keeping the record. Did you not understand what I said about strengths? An yet, he still wins all those games every year, sends more kids into the NFL. Underperformed? Once again who has done more in the SEC? This was brought up before. Give me names? WHO? But you can bring anyone in and they can do better. Anyone? Like I said before, I can give you a list of coaches who were brought into high profile schools and have fallen by the side. Want a list? You won't know until you bring someone in. Who wants to let Les go? I always talk about odds, I stick with the sure thing. Maybe Jon Gruden? Tenn thinks they almost had him. Harbaugh will be out of a job, how long you think hes without a job? The 49'ers want to fire him, must be a bad coach, everyone knows they would never fire a good coach.
WHO GIVES A FLIP ABOUT SABAN! Why in the holy fuck do you tards keep bringing this up, the only thing I care about him is how often we (LSU) beat him. In case any of you idiots missed it, the current count is Him 6 and Les 3. One of you said this was utterly stupid or something to that effect. Well, that may be but as dumb and stupid as it is it is fact. I don't care where saban gets his qb's, makes no difference to me. What I care about is where Miles gets his and more importantly how he uses them. While you shit for brains keep living on the stats of Zach/OBJ/JL et al we have shit the fucking bed THIS year. Before you even get your little typing fingers fired up just stop, stop with the god damned madness. There are FAR too many FR QB's just tearing shit up across the nation so don't even try it. This is owned by one Leslie Edwin Fucking Miles. This is about LSU and no one else. Miles has 1 job. 1 FUCKING JOB and that is to beat bama. The record should be at a minimum 5/4 good guys but because of this buffoon it is 6/3 gumps. The talent is there, most everyone can see it and this goes far beyond the QB position. It just isn't getting done.
Let me take you back, not 10-15 years when everyone's record years, when the landscape changed. You might want to go back to 1989, yep add the 10 years and the 15 years, 25 years ago...A junior QB, threw for 4,699 yards, 44 touchdowns, and set 26 NCAA records. So some of the landscape changed way before then, just not everyone.
