Re: I tend to agree with your general point

Definitely Cecil "The Diesel." He was absolutely unstoppable before he broke his leg and then he never got his head screwed on right. Too bad, 'cause he could have had a heckuva career and made a ton of money.

I also felt that way about Bert Jones - he didn't play enough, and the offense wasn't particularly suited for him.

The most wasted talent in Auburn history, I think, was Stephen Davis. Recruited by Dye and a perfect fit for his style of offense, he ended up underused in Terry Bowden's "FSU Lite" schemes.

Under Dye he might have won the Heisman. You can see now in the NFL what kind of talent he was.

I'm pretty sure Wade Richey is kicking in the NFL right now. I saw he hit a 56 FG with his only attempt. Not sure who he plays for but I think he handles kickoffs and long FG's.

Kendall Cleveland could've had a better career but he was always banged up. Tommy Banks if they would've used him more as a RB. I agree with Teaux also, although can you imagine how crowded our backfield would be with him back this year?
