I have explained it several times, Pancho. Your inability to comprehend is not my problem.

Red learned how to define things from Bill C. Take one possible dictionary definition and apply it out of context and defend it to the bitter end. Forget the context and intent no matter how clear and defend the indefensible.

Ran completely out of logic, eh? When someone resorts to trying to discredit me instead of the argument, I know they are done.

I am mostly just fucking with everybody about the triviality and partisan spin being put on this comment from the party of Mitt Romney. I am amused that this is the best mud you fanatics can come up with to toss at Hillary.

You hit the nail on the head. Of course that depends on the definitions of hit, nail and head

I didn't say it was a lie. It was a comment she made attempting to cast herself as an average American....not wealthy....broke. That's what she was trying to do the morning after claiming she was dead broke. And of course she had to clarify because it was obvious that she wasn't dead broke like everyone else who says that and she was still trying to appear "just like us".

No, a comment made by her spokesperson in another attempt to clarify her statement and once again try to reinforce the concept that she is just like us.

I didn't say it was a lie. You love context....hers was clear and it was one more example of attempting to look like "us".

No, I did not. Her quote as I originally posted:
"'But they don't see me as part of the problem,' she protests, 'because we pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we've done it through dint of hard work"

Her quote as included in your link:
"But they don't see me as part of the problem," she protests, "because we pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we've done it through dint of hard work,"

My eyes aren't so great these days but that looks identical to me. And yet the point was about her repeated attempts to compare herself to the average American and she does so by claiming they "pay ordinary income tax" i.e. "we don't claim capital gains or hide our money". Furthermore, in that comment she does not "obviously" consider herself in the "truly well off" category, and wasn't trying to own that in any way. But once again, it was 2014, just a few years past the time when she claimed to be "dead broke" with millions due.....SO not average American.

I see you skipped Rahm's commentary and Hillary's own admission that her comment was a bad one.

Uh, more like when someone gets tired of trying to reason with a hard-head. :D

You said the "F" word? I feel like I just heard a parent, or former teacher, etc. use it for the first time in front of me. Kinda disappointed.

Millions of more people would agree with my definition of dead broke than Hillary's

Isn't your entire point that Hillary cannot be trusted?

It was a comment intended to answer the question she was asked about the money she earned after they left office. She told them why they needed the money.

Yes, she explained it but you want to hear something else.

Yes, another truthful statement by Hillary.

No it wasn't clear, which is why you are misinterpreting it. Her quote could be interpreted in multiple ways. Rather than suggesting that she is not “truly well off,” she may be counting herself among the “truly well off” but saying that she, unlike other multimillionaires, pays “ordinary income tax.”

Your misquote said that she was "not well truly off". She never said that. You're reading her actual statement as suggesting that she didn't include themselves among those that are truly well off. It can also be read as including themselves among those truly well off, only that they pay ordinary taxes. The statement was ambiguous and that was what she was trying to clarify.

It was ambiguous and she clarified it. But she did not say that the statement was incorrect. You say she is dishonest, but you admit she didn't lie. You say she was trying to identify with ordinary Americans. What politician doesn't? See Romney, Mitt.
