  1. Your opinions do not trash facts. She was the senator from New York and was instrumental in getting the bill passed. Shane said she did nothing in office and this proves she did. That's all. its very simple.
  2. What did she do Red??? The Politifact article shows she was not a sponsor or a co sponsor the bill. There is nothing to support your claim other than your opinion. Prove your point if you can. You have nothing to offer but your opinion.

  3. Hate to crash the party and I despise the lying, sniping, holier-than-thou, intentional yankee, but in that very link....

"Two experts who study Congress -- Norman Ornstein, a scholar at American Enterprise Institute, and Sarah Binder, a political science professor at George Washington University and Brookings Institution scholar -- said that the number of sponsored or co-sponsored bills signed into law isn’t a thorough measure of effectiveness or productivity for a member of the Senate.

"Offering amendments on the floor, holding hearings, contributing to oversight, helping to negotiate agreements, pushing federal agencies to be responsive to constituents back home -- all of these might contribute to making a senator ‘effective,’ but none of these endeavors of course would show up in a count of bills sponsored or passed or enacted," Binder said."

I don't believe there is really any such thing as a "productive or effective" member of Congress because that requires the dark side of negotiating and power politicking and it requires people to be liars. I suspect that's where hrc did most of her "best" work.
  4. It wasn't a bill! It was working Washington to get FEMA money, security, and special funding to New York quickly. Just like Landrieu and Vitter did following Katrina.

Geez, you can't do your own research?

Well, here is the opinion of the New York comptroller.

Quick assistance from Washington certainly helped us. Specifically, since 9/11, the city received a total of 900 million dollars in direct federal assistance. We were, and are, grateful for that aid, and its timeliness.

And I would be remiss if I did not thank the New York State Congressional delegation, led by Congressman Charles Rangel and the two United States Senators, Sen. Chuck Schumer and Sen. Hillary Clinton. They have done wonderful work in helping to move New York City, advocate for New York City and get money into the city.

    And from from Wikipedia . . .

Following the September 11 attacks, Clinton sought to obtain funding for the recovery efforts in New York City and security improvements in her state. Working with New York's senior senator, Charles Schumer, she was instrumental in securing $21 billion in funding for the World Trade Center site's redevelopment.[220][226] She subsequently took a leading role in investigating the health issues faced by 9/11 first responders.[227]
