Wasn't in Texas where a cheerleader's mother murdered another cheerleader so her daughter would have a better chance of becoming head cheerleader?
Wanda Holloway from Channelview. They made 2 TV movies about that one. One had Lesley Ann Warren as the mom, and Tess Harper as the other mom. The other was with Holly Hunter as Holloway. The real Holloway got 10 years but got out after just 6 months. She spent the other 9.5 on probation. She settled a civil suit for $150k.
Exactly why my daughter will never be caught up in that cheerleading jazz. Far less expensive, less dramatic and more practical ways to get a scholly, like golf. We can do that together.
aint no crying here, leftcoast. you're so foolish. all these hard & fast rules that will never hold past 1st grade.
Women playing college sports don't get much scholly money unless they are a marquis player. Otherwise, most players get a share of pooled money and the coach decides who gets what. And if you aren't that marquis player, you better have and maintain a 4.0 or better. There are just too many players competing and they don't give money unless you earn it in the classroom.
Probably the only women athletes to get a full ride scholarship are basketball players who go to Connecticut or Tennessee. And maybe not even them.
