I am not claiming he was good or is good, my entire point was that once LSU changed him from QB to ATH on the roster after his commitment, he de-committed and went elsewhere to play QB. Same thing RS should have done.

I thought the goal was to use talent where you should to win games and championships in COLLEGE FOOTBALL, not attempt to strengthen players draft stock. Plenty of college QB's who are/were head and shoulders above JJ, JL, ZM, in college never did shit in the NFL.

So what is YOUR fucking point?

I agree with you completely. Their NFL prospects shouldn't be the focus. The focus should be upon making use of their skills to win where they are at now. Take care of that and the rest follows suit. How would properly utilizing and displaying his talents not help Shepard? It's not as if it would further decrease his prospects at the next level, not that those prospects were ever very high.

The numbers are near the same.

The difference is we don't have a WR that can catch.

I didn't know that's what went down. I knew that Russell was recruited by LSU as an athlete and it really disturbed me. You can go back and look at my posts criticizing the handling of Russell Shepard. People on here told me that I was insane for wanting to see Shepard at quarterback. Glad to know I'm not the only one who's thought as such. Russell can really burn a team with a bit of open space. He's very illusive. We've never seen that though. At least Darren Thomas made the right decision for his future. He would have been far worse had he still came to LSU and been as meaningless as Shepard has been.

    RS isn't what people think.

He has had just as many chances as the rest.

You are right. The only players who develope nicely are Defensive players under the Chief. My frustration for Miles has finally met its destination.

As long as Chavis stays, what does LSU really have to lose?? It's time for a change. Period, whether it's poor coaching, poor play calling, poor preparation, poor execution, poor attitudes, or poor performance, the HC is responsible, and he has been hiding behind great defense and great special teams long enough. He needs to step up, take ownership and either hire a championship caliber OC and give him the controller, or pack his shit and head back to the Big Ten.

LSU's offense has defined "insanity" over and over and over and at this point, as an organization, they have a hell of a lot more to lose keeping Miles, than they do by parting ways. Everybody, fans, players, former players, alumni, potential recruits, and I'm sure assistant coaches, are all at their wits end.

We need an offensive identity, we haven't had one in 4 years! It's Miles job to make that happen. If he can't do that, HE is the problem. Period! He needs to own it! If he wants to stay as the HC, cool! But get an OC and let him do his damn thing!
