Do you all have any d-1 teams at anything other than football?? We have 21 national championships in wrestling and right now as in NOW have both the mens and womens teams in basketball ranked in the top 20!! Dont see anything for the tigers to cheer about until fall....lol All that money spent on one trick pony who lost ther jockey......thats kind of pathetic...:shock:
you may want to look up to the top of that list of Womens top 20...yep right up there at #1. We also spend a great deal of time in Omaha....that's where the College World Series is in case you've never been. Only thing we wrestle is gators.
oh by the way ...baseball???? Thats not really a University function......thats for those warm weather universities that ALWAYS have an unfair advantage...
I am a big enough man to admit that our men's basketball team sucks. Wait, let me rephrase that, our team is loaded with talent but our coach SUCKS
our mens team is recovering from scholly limitations/probation ...about 10 years ago...but Brady stilluses it as excuse.
I would say 5 National Championships in baseball over 10 years in the 1990's (91, 93, 96, 97, 2000) is something to cheer about - Preseason Top 5 in baseball with the #1 recruiting class in America is something to cheer about. 30 National Championships in Track and Field with handfulls of future Olympians walking around campus every year is something to cheer about. Softball finishing in 3rd place at the College World Series last year is something to cheer about. Lady Tiger Basketball team advanced to the Final Four for the first time in school history and are currently ranked #1 in all polls. In all, LSU had nine of its teams finish the season ranked among the top 10 in the nation, while 14 of LSU's 20 teams were ranked in the top 25 last year. Avg. over 92,000 people per game at Tiger Stadium is something to cheer about. LSU ranked No. 11 in the nation in the United States Sports Academy Directors' Cup for the 2003-04 season. In all, LSU has won an SEC-LEADING 43 national titles, including three during the 2003-04 year. In addition, LSU ran its all-time SEC titles to 105 by winning conference championships in football and softball in 2003-04. So, there is lots to cheer about here in Tiger Town - oh, yeah, we don't live in Iowa and we can all cheer for that...
I'll take the lower IQ with the Crystal Football - oh, and supersize it... Wow, 21 NC's in wrestling - I can't even tell the difference between Big 10 Football and Big 10 Wrestling.
