When your coach is openly talking to NFL clubs fans will speculate about what happens if he leaves. Not saying what Saban is doing is wrong just that it comes with the territory. You can bet Skip is doing a little speculating of his own also.

I believe Thielen Smith was the first black player at LSU. He was a linebacker if I remember correctly.

    T.Smith lettered 73-75.
    M. Williams lettered 72-74.
    T. Robiskie lettered 73-76.

    So.....I'm still betting Williams.

Mike Williams (CB) was the first black player to play for LSU, although Lora Hinton (RB) signed earlier, and was the one who unofficially broke the color barrier. Both played in the '70s. As for Terry Robiskie, he hasn't been too successful so far in his brief stints as a head coach (Washington, Cleveland). He would not be high on my list of replacements for Saban.

Sorry but this is still Louisiana. We will have a black president before we have a black head coach at LSU

yeah they never said that @ Miss State either. Last I checked Sly Croom is not white and Mississippi isn't viewed differently in racial terms than Louisiana. this isn't 1700. always race with some people. quit labelling and move forward.
