Herbie has a smooth delivery and looks good on TV. He also has a good on-camera rapport with Fowler and Corso.

He's pretty knowledgable, but of course he loves the Big 10.

If I were in his shoes, I'd be a lot less professional about my preference for the SEC.

Still, I'll never forgive him for the smugness with which he spoke down to LSU during the mock playoffs on ESPN last year.

He picked the Tigers to lose every mock match-up. And when it got down to Michigan vs. LSU in the championship game, he said, "LSU's running game would not gain a yard against Michigan's defense."

We all know what happened to those two teams in last year's BCS bowls.

What were his bogus reason?? Preseason, before the games are played ...each of those teams, along with UF were almost interchangeable in the rankings. Not sure why this makes KH look bad??

On the "good call/bad call" portion just now he said the fans saying LSU would lose a game was a BAD CALL. He now thinks LSU will go undefeated.

So he's the worst analyst to ever walk the earth cause, "how dare he place us third behind those two slouches, USC and OU. How dare he!" Look, you must be realistic and objective when watching these college football programs. Most seasons, it's a crap shoot when picking the top 3 teams in a pre season poll. It's all opinion.

If it makes you feel any better, Herbsteit just picked us to run the tables for the rest of the season, just now on ESPN.

No joke, every fanbase bitches about analysts.

    A. They have an agenda...its called making money. Some are retarded, but most aren't...and of course theyre are homers, its only human. You would be a homer to.
    B. You go out there and pick them. Can you do any better? Doubt it.

The concern for analysts on this forum is beyond sickening.

I'm pretty convinced that ESPN tells these guys who to pick. Toward the end of the USC/Wash. game, Herbie said he felt like LSU has proven to be the # 1 team in the country. Gameday Saturday (neither team had played yet), he said USC is the #1 team in the country.
ESPN knew that it would get a reaction from the crowd. He's said on the radio before that they all know the day before which mascot head Corso is going to put on, and they discuss all their topics and pics before hand.

Of course they have an agenda. Do you people really think Holtz is that dumb? (O.K. bad example), but seriously, the idiocy he displays is one reason people watch the show, and then talk about it online. Most of his ignorance is probably scripted.

I can understand and appreciate your passion for LSU football cause that's the lifeline of the program, but think about what you just said. You will never forgive him for simply picking against LSU. It's not as if he said you have bad hair or your shoes are ugly, he simply picked against LSU. Don't you think that's taking it a bit too personally.
