1. Notre Dame is a good football team and has a legitimate shot at beating us. However, Herbie pretty much picks against LSU vs any team ranked above number 50 in the power rankings and he is almost always wrong. I'm glad he has picked ND.
  2. Yeah, all these 41-17s (coughislstlcough) around here would be lovely, but I just don't see it.
  3. I suspect I'm in the minority, but I expect us to win by two TDs.

Offensively I don't think ND matches up to our speed and athleticism on D.

I think we can throw the ball with success on the ND D. We may have some difficulty running against the Irish D, but if JR get's time to throw I think we'll rack up some big numbers throwing the ball.

  5.

  6. You're not in the minority. Herbie didn't pick ND to win it all this year...he picked MIAMI!!!! That should tell all of us that he's a bloomin' idiot, and we SHOULD blow this team out of the Superdome. Don't get caught up in the ND hype crap. They are, as they have been all year, overrated. In fact, they have been overrated for decades, now. Can you believe Charlie Weis was nominated for COY?! ND is nothing more than a name, just like it's media darling coach.

I agree that we might have trouble running the ball, but we haven't run it down anyone's throat this year. We'll just pass them into submission! I think Quinn will get his numbers, but he wont be enough of a difference maker to change the outcome.

    My bold prediction---38-21:lsup:

I just want to say again to prove how much of an idiot Herbie is, he picked the Miami team that we BLEW OUT of the Georgiadome last year with our second string QB taking every snap, the same Miami that lost their best player to the Chicago Bears, the same Miami that he picked to beat us last year, TO WIN IT ALL THIS YEAR!!!! I remember like it was yesterday when he said before the UM-FSU game, "Mark my words, this Miami team will be in Glendale in January". He lost all credibility with me after the debacle that was the 2006 Miami Hurricane season.
  7. Getting your panties in a wad over what Herbie says is only gonna make him more money... so, good job.

Now the LA Times tells it the way it is... I'll do this from memory, so the quotes won't be exact... but close enough... one liners on the Bowl Games:

Sugar Bowl: "If you think ND looked slow against USC on grass, wait until you see them against LSU on artificial turf"

Fiesta Bowl: "Ohio State needs this win to stay in contention for the NFL playoffs"

Orange Bowl: "Wake Forest doesn't have enough fans to do a wave, so their working on this thing called a ripple"

Rose Bowl: "Pete Carroll is almost unbeatable when you give him a month to prepare for the Arizona Cardinal job"
  8. I am glad that he picked Notre Dame to beat us. I don't want respect from a cheerleader. Let Notre Dame think they are coming to New Orleans for a easy game. That is fine. Let them come here and think that this is not a "home" game for LSU. The players for Notre Dame claim that the fanbase here will be 50/50. Let them think that. :helmet:
  9.
  10. 1. Being an underdog WILL motivate Notre Dame.

    2. Notre Dame is no slouch. They are as good as one of the teams that beat us.

    3. LSU better strap it on for this one. They should win but Notre Dame will NOT make it easy. LSU is capable of losing and Notre Dame knows it.
