Oh, ye of little faith.. It's really quite simple.. The teams that finished well last year, get the love. Example: Right now, it's an Alabama/Florida love fest until we beat one or both of them. To be the best, you have to beat the best. When we do, we'll have more players on the next All SEC team, Miles will once again be thought of as "crazy like a fox", and the universe will return to its natural order.
Where did we finish in the West last year? And isn't Ole Miss just a few years removed from 0-8 in the SEC. It's all about "what have you done for me lately". I read where one reporter thinks we'll be replacing Miles after a losing record going into the Florida game. Media is what it is. Media. They have alot of opinions. There are alot of questions to be answered this year. O-line, D-line, running backs, quarteback... this list goes on. A huge step up this year from players, and it's game on.
This is the kind of year where the entire SEC beats the hell out of each other and no SEC team makes the Championship game.
In this "what have you done for me lately" world LSU is not considered in the conversation right now. Why, because we haven't really done anything lately. I'm ok with us being left out of the conversation, sorta flying under the radar, Miles getting bashed for his mistakes, and Tiger Nation just sitting back ready to pounce. This team and coaches have all the motivation in the world to prove everyone wrong. To come out and take what is given, take away what isn't expected, and surprise those who think we are on the downslide. We have the talent, we have an overall very good coaching staff, and we have the quiet giant waiting to wake up. As we approach the 30 day mark until the season kicks off (as I type this it is 43 day 9 hrs and 48 mins till kickoff) this team and these coaches will bond together with a purpose and a mission. They will march into practice, knowing they are expected by many to fail. They will depart camp with the knowledge and belief that noone and I mean noone can take away the pride and determination they have to succeed. It will not be dependent upon 1 or 2 players to lead this team to glory, it will be the entire team being a unit in harmony. It will be all 85 players and all the coaches who march out onto the field every week with the focus on success. "It Is Time To Defy Yourself, Let The Revolution Begin Inside You". This team will play above all expectations and emerge in glorious victory. This is my pledge, this is my montra. Now go out and do it, for if they don't it will be time, time to make the changes necessary to get our Beloved Tigers back to the front of the pack. :geauxtige  LSU! :geauxtige  LSU! :geauxtige  LSU! :geauxtige
