Has there ever been an LSU qb like Russell?

Bert Jones was the best prior to JaMarcus.

    1. JaMarcus Russell
    2. Bert Jones
    3. Tommy Hodson
    4. Rohan Davey

And tirk, I agree with you, the pass to LaFell last night was one of the most incredible I have ever seen by LSU! Simply Amazing!

Thanks JaMarcus, for the thrills and showing your skills!

I'd like a photo of JaMarcus and Shaq, just the two of them with something normal sized for comparison, like a 5"10" announcer. Two of LSU's finest, IMO.

I don't know if I would put JR ahead of Bert Jones or some of the others.

Many played in different eras and different styles of games so it would be hard to say one is better than the other.

Hell Y. A. Tittle could be tossed in there as the guy was a hell of QB and had a prolific career in the pros.

Same for Jones I saw many of his football games and he was a hell of QB but just a different type of QB.

JR is right up there with them though with the physcial skills he has.

We keep hearing the arm strength superlatives. Bradshaw told us last night that JR can throw 65 yards from one knee and 40 yards sitting down. Why doesn't anyone ever show us video of this? I saw him uncork some sick stuff at the Manning Academy, but nothing like the talking heads always tell us.

Ther is no comparison in the teams. Rohan was required to score almost every drive vs good teams because of our terrible secondary. Put Quinn and his receivers against the secondary that played vs Illinois and he would have passed for five hundred yards. When JR makes a mistake the defense holds the line and gives him another chance. Last night JR was awsome. He should have been he was competing against air. Notre Dame has a Lou Tepper type defense. Remember Quincy Carter.
