true. not to mention, i am allergic to red and white. excuse me, i mean crimson and cream. :hihi: i do like oklahoma tho. but it would be a much nicer place without those damned gooners. :hihi:
The boomers damn near lost to a reshirt freshman backup who'd never taken a snap in a college game. Not exactly what I'd call "hanging with LSU and bama". Who's beaten OU in recent bowls they've been in? Let's see, just off the top of my head: Florida* (national championship), LSU* (national championship), USC (national championship, bush ineligible, doesn't matter still got spanked), Boise State  I think OU finds winning a little harder if they move out west. *Denotes SEC teams Not trying to be a d*ck, just call em the way I see em.
OU is irrelevant in college football discussions, how many BCS bowls have they been to in the last 10 years, how many have hey won? lol yup... having to get up for 1 conference game a year just doesn't prepare you for post season play.
Big 12 was second to the SEC. The big 12-2, soon to be -3, not so much. Big 10 gets the honor of second place with the addition of Nebraska and a CCG. Congratulations.
You are absolutely right. In the last decade, OU has reestablished themselves as a top program. Certainly they are a legitimate top 5 team, and could hang in the SEC week in and week out. Just like the other SEC teams, they would take a beating and likely falter at some point. I personally don't think you can really separate 1,2 and 3 right now. OU, LSU, and Bama are all neck and neck. Obviously, I give the edge to LSU, but OU is a top notch program without a doubt.
Ou would show that they are ready for primetime by following ATM to the sec instead of going to the cupcake pus-12.
