I think that Saban has become a better coach over time. He got the NFL bug out of his head and has concentrated on being the best he can be in the college ranks.

 

I think the 5 star talent has helped him more.

 

This argument makes me angry.

 

It's way beyond talent it was about building a top 5 program within the bowels of a politicized shit hole of an athletic dept that mark Emmett nick saban and skip Bertman changed. What was done is so much more than talent it's hardly in the discussion.

Lsu was coming off a 3-8 season and 4-7 under dinardo. When Les took over lsu was one year removed from a BCS NC and still a top 3 program in the country. The huge difference in these 2 coaches is even bigger than the disparity in current rankings. Bama is 1 lsu 21. Saban is 1 while our idiot would be lucky to get a job with Tulsa once he's out. Without lsu Les Miles would currently be at Tulsa.
And hes been stealing money going on 5 years now.

Talent is everything! It can make bad coaches look good,and good coaches even better. LSU's talent level the past couple of years has not been as good. Our record has shown it. Why so many people say how great they are is beyound me.
Dinardo did not leave the cubbard bare for Little Nicky. His downfall was losing two of the best assistants we ever had in Reece and Watts.

 

We have top 5 talent now with shitty coaching. We are just so used to. Under utilizing it we think it's not as good as it really is. Certainly better than Wisconsin.. So clearly talent isn't everything. And an established program is worth way more than a year of recruits. That's what miles inherited.

 

Talent alone is the reason Miles record at LSU is as bloated as it is. It sure as hell isn't because of the free loader coaching staff we have doing Les with more, while laughing all the way to the bank.

 

Top 5 talent has to prove they are top 5 talent. When Alabama and Arkansas two years in a row decimate your top 5 talent, you have to reevaluate what your definition of talent is. I was at the Wisconsin game in Houston two years ago,and watched us get beat for 3 1/2 quarters and luckly win that game. I did not believe that we were better than Wisconsin going into the game this year....why would I? Moo State had a field goal to beat us last year. We had to throw a hail mary and fake field goal at Florida to beat them. Syracuse and Texas Tech stuck with us until the fourth quarter last year. Not to mention we were Ole misses bitch. Your top 5 talent, lost 8 games in two years, and already one this year.
I have never seen Top 5 talent this bad.
