damn i want to get it for my daughter. whats crazy is all 3 of us, my wife, daughter, and i went to dallas, daughter got some kind of bug, she passed it to me, i passed it to my wife, my wife to my mom, mom to my nephews, and so on. Called my best friend in Zachary and they all had the same thing, crazy stomach bug that made everyone vomit for about 8 hours, with crazy fever, and then its gone about 32 hours later. None of us went to a doctor, but i am wondering, was that the swine flu, because i have heard a few on here like stacey say it wasn't nearly as bad as the regular flu.

It sounds like it's more of a stomach flu--the worst of which I've ever, ever had I've caught up here in Dallas. It's like a breeding ground for that nonsense. The worst vomiting ever, every 2 or 3 years. I should be good for a couple of years now, as I caught it last Halloween.

those of you scared of getting the h1n1 vaccination may want to reconsider. drug resistant forms have popped up in the UK and North Carolina.

it takes a couple weeks for protection from vaccinations to develop too.

The DoD has mandated that we all get the vaccination over here. A lot of people are upset about, though I don't see the big deal. But then again, I tend to believe that H1N1 itself is more hype than anything else. We ran out of the vaccine though, so I don't gotta get stuck anytime soon! :hihi:

I believe Obama's daughters did end up getting vaccinated. They just didn't get it right away so that they didn't look like they were getting preferential treatment.

The extra cost and paperwork is unfortunate (and predictive of what government healthcare will bring to everyone), but that Doctor isn't doing anyone any favors by refusing to ease public concern. Even if it's mostly a placebo, it may be worth just going along.

Personally, I'm with TF23. I think it's mostly an overreaction and a diversion from the crap going on in Washington right now. Same thing with Palin. She's been duped into providing the Socialists with a distraction on the right. And all the media have taken the bait. Stupid.

it is not a political distraction. it is getting too much attention, but so does 90% of tv news.

While I agree the media has a terrible habit of piling on a non-story just for the it's curb appeal.....you're kidding yourself if you don't think there are upper-level media folks who understand exactly what they're doing by making Mrs. Palin the lead story every day.
