May I speak as a 31-year English teacher? Yes, less is more. Sorry, not sorry. From time to time, there is a student with some talent, though. Two years ago, one of my students came in 4th in the National Spelling Bee. And one of my former students writes for Rolling Stone. So, their writing was okay...among others.
Sorry. I'm not a member of the "texting" generation. I don't have a problem with the length of @CagedTiger 's post. I think he did an excellent job of summarizing our season. Was it lengthy? Yes. Was it well written? Yes. It probably took me a minute to read it. I can handle that.
I was always taught quality vs quantity so but essays are comprised of more than an introductory paragraph.
Great unbelievable season. Realistically exceeded all expectations and wildest dreams BUT. They lost to a rival and didn't look good doing it. A few years ago App State lost one game and destroyed the team we played in our bowl. Beat North and South Carolina both at their places. Were ranked for the first time ever and all anyone can remember is we lost at home to our arch rival. Some things just suck more than the good that should outweigh them.
