yes . .Bengal . .I'll be expecting my Ben Franklin any time now . .

by the way . .I can't force you to like the guy. I just think its morally wrong to accuse a guy of condoning sexual harassment, drugs, guns and DUI based on nothing. It crosses the line.

Call him a bad sport, and jacka$$ whatever . .that's just being a fan . .and I've accepted the fact that until LSU can beat Auburn regularly, most of you will hate Auburn and CTT . . that's fine.

Just don't take pathetic cheap shots at a man's moral fiber off the field . .its just wrong.

Here is what Tuberville said according to that story:

While he recovers from a second neck surgery, Tuberville said his staff is studying Rowell's options. Although he wouldn't provide specifics, Tuberville said previous incidents further complicates Rowell's situation.

"I've got (my staff) looking for options," Tuberville said. "He might be back. (Previous incidents) were small, nothing like this. We'll keep our options open and see how this works out."

The key words here are "He might be back" When Rowell is officially no longer at Auburn I'll send you the money. There is nothing in that story that says that Rowell has been kicked off the team or out of school yet. Tuberville is "keeping the options open" When I lose a bet I'll pay off but this is not a done deal yet.

By the way I took no cheap shots at TT's moral fiber off the field. I don't like him mainly because of the Cigar incident and the stomping on the Eye of the Tiger. Of course stomping on the Eye backfired with the 15 yard penalty, the onside kickoff recovered by Michael Clayton and the subsequent LSU touchdown.

Chuck, I don’t like Auburn at all and would feel that way if we had won 10 in a row and the minimum point spread was 50. I didn’t like Tubby when he was at ole miss. I do think he is a classless jerk.

But several have posted some good points. I do hope Tubby will kick this guy to the road. But there was a valid point or question? Would Tubby kick a key/star/leader of the defense off for a team violation?

I don’t think James quit the team. IMO I think it was a combination of Saban and the team or team captains coming to agreement to kick him off. I don’t believe there is another coach in the SEC, including Tubby that would have done that to a key player, offense or defense, and especially the QB of the defense.

I don’t like the idea that Nick may give this Harris kid that originally signed with Miami a second chance. Hell he did worse than the Auburn player. Only by the grace of God, the robbery didn’t go bad and someone killed.

There is more to recruiting than just talent. Character is the key word in this thread. All the coaches must start looking at character. All the schools are exchanging services with the athlete. The athlete trades his time, talent and energy for an education. Along with that education comes responsibility, to have good character on and off the field, in and out of the classroom, at school or home.

They are representing their school of choice. If all these schools would adapt and commit to no baggage, you would see a big difference. It would send a message to those troublesome athletes that are very talented. I don’t understand players such as Cecil Collins, whom had the talent to become a multi-millionaire, and too stupid to realize it.

As long as there are coaches like DiNardo, Numb-Nutts and Phat Fulmer, it’s not going to change, they will continue to get the same results. I have posted statements about Tubby that was based on rumor & hearsay, and shouldn’t have done that. IMO he would never kick a player off for violating team rules. He would be like DiNardo with Kevin Faulk. One game suspension, and if during that game, his a$$ was in a sling, he would lift the suspension to win at all cost.

It’s important for Tubby to do the right thing. BTW-Your little flame shots reminding LSU fans of your wins. Auburn will be facing a much better team with pure talent out the bazooka, and the bad news for Auburn, is it only gets better in 04.

He was refering to me Bengal B. All us tigers must look the same. I am the resident auburn flamer. "Just don't." Just don't what? Everyone has a right to their opinion but no man has a right to tell another what to do. I respect your right to have an opinion of which I disagree. Believe it or not your opinion is just as right or wrong as mine. Because that's just what it is, an opinion, not a fact. I don't tell you what to do so I'll do as I please. I'll make 15 more "cheap shot" posts just like it if I please. Talking down to me like you are omnicient isn't going to convince me or any other person . Like I stated in my post I have an irrational dislike for auburn and it colors my vision. I'll insult any coach in the SEC because they are on the opposite side as my beloved tigers. BOTTOM LINE. END OF STORY. I'll defend Bengal B's right as well. You might think your opinion is worth more than mine as is obvious in the tone of your statements. But we all know what they say about opinions don't we? Notice how both tigers disagree with your statement and refrain from personal insults yet you can't seem to resist? Your whole argument which does have some merit in all it's eloquence loses any crediblity when you take a personal jab.

P.S. What is right and wrong isn't your call just because your from auburn and you say it is.

Personally, I think SEC coaches as a whole need less tolerence just because every team in the conference has been marred by some character issues in the past and present. It may be a hardline stance but I think it has to be that way for at least a little while to restore some credibility to SEC.

    Chuck E . .your quote:
"There is more to recruiting than just talent. Character is the key word in this thread. All the coaches must start looking at character. All the schools are exchanging services with the athlete. The athlete trades his time, talent and energy for an education. Along with that education comes responsibility, to have good character on and off the field, in and out of the classroom, at school or home. "

Couldn't be more accurate. I think it speaks volumes that CTT hasn't been faced with the NEED to kick off one of his stars. Perhaps the recruitment of character is why this has never happened.

However, to take a middle road here. Rowell was a Parade All-American and is a true sophomore, he is 2nd string only because two of our 1st string linebackers are probably 1st round draft picks next year.

So, while it appears that 99% of the players CTT have recruited have had NO trouble with the law . .1 of them has . .and while he wasn't a starter, he was a very gifted athlete will tons of potential.

you are also right that it is EXTREMELY important that CTT kicks this guy off the team and I will be very unhappy if he doesn't. But as you guys have already read my quote posted on AUN . .I think the decision has been made and he is already gone.

texascajun - you are right, I can't stop you from implying that CTT condoes sexual harassment (actually that was ChuckE from a previous post), drugs, guns, and DUI's . .but if that's the case - I guess you can't stop me from implying that Saban is probably a homosexual because he pats players on the butts the whole time (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I'd like to see LSU fans response if people started posting things liek that on their boards . . I'm sure that would go over swell . .
