You are saying that Adrian McPherson was a plug in QB, He is third on the saints depth chart! haha definitly not a plug in QB that threw for 400 yards a game! As I remember it he didn't even get drafted, he went to Arena Football, then came back and worked hard for his spot on the saints! And if your thinking of Todd Bouman , he went to St. Cloud State! Definitly wasnt the system there that go him to the pros!

Yea, but even if you get a hit it doesn't matter half the time because you never get a score from it. And hitting a homerun is far more important to a baseball team than striking out. Thus, his ratio of homeruns to strike outs is more acceptable than Touchdowns - Interceptions.

I guess that's why he got drafted so high.

But to lead the nation in them... There are a lot of systems where the QB throws nearly every down, and their QBs didn't have those kinds of numbers.
I wouldn't agree with "frequently". More like, occassionally.

You name me a QB who throws like chang did and tell me he had less Picks! You can't because Chang threw the ball 87.5% of the time! THAT IS A FACT! NO OTHER QB THROWS LIKE THAT! And I still don't see how a TD is different from a Home Run either! There are in many baseball games the same amount of runs as TD's excluding the blowouts of 12-4! HAHA

I can't comment on Timmy Chang too much because I only saw him a few times. However, I think he was probably just a good QB. The game when the fans were booing him was against Alabama. It was the year we were battling USC for BCS National Championship positioning. We needed Bama to win and it was the year Bama sucked. Bama was killing Timmy Chang and the fans started to boo the guy (imagine if they would have been good). So they put in the backup, he lights a spark and they go on to catch up and then beat Bama easily. So, arguably, their biggest win in history against a big-name team was credited mostly to the play of the backup QB. If you look at Hawaii's schedule, they usually play a couple of good teams and then pathetic ones the rest of the way. So, those stats were definitely misleading. Oh, and thankfully Boise State did what Alabama couldn't do for us, and we went to the NCG because Hawaii lost.

And whoever said about the BYU QBs...Yes, some of those guys were a little before my real football exposure. So BYU probably did have some of the best. And I should probably say Detmer was better than good, I just didn't think he should have won the Heisman that year.

Any of the high powered offenses, whether they are spread, gimmicky or whatever have a high percentage of throws to run. I don't know whether it's 87.5% or not, but it's still very high. And yet no QB in any of those systems has thrown as many picks as Chang.

I never said that Flynn was the reason we won the Peach. I even stated that I haven't seen enough of him yet to make a decision.

My point was more general. Even though players like Booty may have had all the tools, there is a lot more to it to be a great QB. Whether it was team chemistry, leadership, game day adrenaline, or whatever, Maulk and Tyler got it done when it counted.

If he was so good & talented, he would have been drafted higher. Not many top programs would have traded their QB for Chang. He was a decent QB in a high powered offense.
