It's always an honor to serve other chefs who come to the restaurant and Sunday I was honored to serve Ivo Scalfa who has a highly rated restaurant in Sarasota, Florida. Ivo's Ristorante home He was in town visiting my friend Martin, who is the owner of the Brew Pub. They both worked together as chefs in Toronto, Canada. Like a lot of us in this business, he ordered very simply...a cheddar and black olive omelette. I wish I had some real imported olives for him, but alas, I didn't. He was delightful to talk to and gave me some good encouragement. Maybe this place is familiar to those of you who live in the Sarasota area. Have any of you guys eaten there before?
You need to post your menu. I have never thought of a cheddar and black olive omelette. To market street I go.....
