I didn't see us going to a bowl game earlier this year, did you? I didn't really expect us to mostly dominate BAMA earlier this season, but I called for a LSU win this week. Miles isn't a shit coach, he's accomplished more than a pretty good Richt, but with only a steady offense just think how much more we could have accomplished in his 10 years. AJ/Harris keeps feeling more and more like JJ/Lee. Doubt another Mett falls into our laps, so where does that leave us? Many stressful Saturdays. Hopefully Cameron can do more for AJ/Harris than our coaches did for JJ/Lee. That is, if Cameron and Harris stick it out.
Don't give a rat's ass about stats, but 2 drops by Quinn and one by Dupre on 3rd down means three drives that come to an end before they should have. A fourth drop in overtime probably affected the play calling in the rest of the series. A slip on a spot throw allowed an interception and gave Bama 3 points. Hold Jennings accountable for his mistakes, sure. But hold everyone to the same standard.
Right, but an offense like this doesn't really scream "come play in Baton Rouge" to someone with Andrew luck or Blake Bortles type skill set. The talent does but not the play calling.
Well fuck, if we returned every punt for a TD then we would have won by 80 or some such that an asshole will calculate after this.
You're right, the standards are different. QB's usually get much more slack, because they handle the ball every play. QBs rarely get yanked for throwing the ball poorly. We did this once this season, and while the switch worked that night, he wasn't facing a Nick Saban-coached defense. He faced a real SEC defense the following week, and we all remember what happened then.
