Last time I checked, the Bible did say wait until you are married. So, this is just a guess, all Christians do believe that you should wait. I wouldn't know anything about catholic school kids. I've never been around them.
Salty, I don't understand why you feel so compelled to make everything so overwhelmingly left vs right. We get it, you hate liberals. They hate you, too. But it justifies absolutely nothing when you simply blame everything on them. It seems far more productive to speak of why you deem one thing or another as objectionable, rather than why people that disagree with you are objectionable.
Sorry to go off CC. Rex just gets under my skin. In everyday life I am not able to voice my opinions in such a way. I guess I see FS as a place to tell liberals just how I really feel. I'll say this in my defense though, the left tends to make everything out to be us vs. them also. I guess it's a reaction, not an action. The Catholic Church teaches that sex prior to marriage is a sin. Unfortunately, not all Catholic young people pay attention to that.
The Baptist Church teaches the same thing. We all use the same Bible. Baptist kids tend to not listen to their parents either. It doesn't help when just about every prime time TV show glorifies premarital sex and so many parents today don't bother to protect their own children. We cannot spend every waking moment with our young ones and that is when they are attacked. I was young once too. I know what goes on once the kids leave home. I would just like to see it cleaned up a bit. Wishful thinking I guess.
Rex just seems a bit more radical or over-the-top than the rest of 'us' ('us' referring to the people you listed, NOT liberals!). That's probably why he gets under your skin. But I'm sure you feel no more justified or rooted in your stances than does he in his. I know the feeling, when you just know, deep down, that someone is dead wrong and it just pisses you off. But bear in mind, they feel the same way about you. That's when you just reach idealogical differences, which are damn near impossible to argue with.
