    northwestern state beat tcu a few years ago....led by craig nall...but that wasnt really a great team they beat but still....

    dont think bama was #1 then, but #2.

    and if any 1-AA team ever beat a top 10 1-A team it is one of the greatest uspets. lsu over any team wouldnt compare.

    I know they had a big upset against Bama one year fairly recently.

    UPDATE: After some research, I found La Tech 29, Bama 28 in 1999.

    The year the Tide won the SEC Championship!

    K-State over OU in '03 (who was being lauded all year as the greatest team in history, before the reporters moved out west.)

    I remember how they were saying OU was the best football team EVER in the history of Collegiate Football.

    Kansas state proved: don't count your chickens before your eggs hatch...

    Not the biggest upset in history, but remember Bama whipping Miami in 1992?

    34-13...Nobody in the world gave Alabama a chance. Miami was bigger, stronger, and faster and had a heisman man there...Bama's heart and DEFENSE did the job.
