northwestern state beat tcu a few years ago....led by craig nall...but that wasnt really a great team they beat but still....
dont think bama was #1 then, but #2. and if any 1-AA team ever beat a top 10 1-A team it is one of the greatest uspets. lsu over any team wouldnt compare.
I know they had a big upset against Bama one year fairly recently. UPDATE: After some research, I found La Tech 29, Bama 28 in 1999. The year the Tide won the SEC Championship!
:rofl::rofl::rofl: K-State over OU in '03 (who was being lauded all year as the greatest team in history, before the reporters moved out west.)
I remember how they were saying OU was the best football team EVER in the history of Collegiate Football. Kansas state proved: don't count your chickens before your eggs hatch... BLEW them out too... nuts...
Not the biggest upset in history, but remember Bama whipping Miami in 1992? 34-13...Nobody in the world gave Alabama a chance. Miami was bigger, stronger, and faster and had a heisman man there...Bama's heart and DEFENSE did the job. Roll tide!
