By default of course anybody would have to say the '03 NC, but by just flatout back and forth intensity it had to be the '97 Auburn game. Of course we lost, but there isn't another game where I broke things, cursed, relived, etc.. as much. There was a thread on this game a few years back on how people lost it for this particular game, so I know I'm not alone. That 3rd and 2 passing play called by DiNardo w/ around 10 minutes left, and 2 backs averaging 8 yds/carry is something I will always remember.
I don't think I could pick just one, there have been several great games that come to mind, all of them have already been posted here, and when I read this post all of them came to mind. :tigbas: :tigbas: :tigbas: :tigbas: :tigbas:
I saw in person: Football: 1982 LSU vs. Bama at Legion Field-20-10-Bear's last year. Afterwards, Bear said they had never been dominated like they were that day. Our defense dominated them all day. Until then, we had lost something like 11 consecutive to Bama. Basketball: The 1986 Final Four run with the win over Kentucky in the Dome. Blanton running back downcourt with his hands over his head. We had lost twice to them during the season and tourney. But with the Final Four on the line, we win. Huge.
Fortunatley for me, my first game ever was the '97 Florida game. My older brother took me when he was a student and that was when almost anybody could sit in the student section. I just remember thinking to myself at the end of the game as we rushed onto the field that i hope i dont get lost. I as well have that ticket stub and will never forget that game.:geauxtige

I'm not sure of the year. 1964/5? Both, Ole Miss and LSU were highly ranked. Sat. night in DEATH VALLEY!!!!!!!!! I was 17/18. Two of my buddies and I drove down for the game. New 64 Mustang. Rebel flags waving. People flipping us off.....LOVED IT....We had three tickets....two together, one in the endzone. The guy that owned the 'stang was new to me. But he provided the transportation. The other guy was a long time friend. I had the tickets. When we got there, we each flipped a coin. Odd man got the endzone seat. The guy with the car lost and was to sit by himself, right up among the LSU faithful....I swear---I thought he was going to cry.....I said, "Give me that ticket, I ain't scared of no tigers." We agreed to meet at halftime and one of them would exchange places with me. I had on a long coat and had a 1/2 pint in two pockets. First half, good game.....People very disappointed with their tigers though. Met my friends at the half. He was still scared. Thought I would laugh my ass off. Asked my other friend, where the hell did this guy come from? Told them to go on back together. Going back up the ramps, I met two cops escorting a drunk down. His hand was bloody. Looked bad. Got back to my seat. A fight broke out. I saw one guy trying to lift another guy high enough to push him over the top--at least that is what I thought he was trying. And they were at the top.....Cajuns were screaming, "Come on...you are not gonna let these guys beat you are you?" Kept my fat mouth shut. OM 10-3---Very late in the game....I'm giggling inside...SILENT outside. LSU scores---time is short----what the hell? THEY ARE GOING FOR TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The play starts.....I't a pass....A-L-L- RIGHT!! An Ole Miss db bats the ball in the air.....WAIT!!!!!!!!! Billy Treaux (sp?) is sliding on his back and makes a remarkable catch....TIGERS WIN 11-10!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Never opened those pts. of booze......
Reb Two of my best in person games came against Ole Miss. This one - although I thought Doug Morreau caught the pass - I am not sure at all. The other was the Bard Davis catch from Bert Jones with no time remaining. Probably my two best games against Ole Miss. I also remember a hugh banner hanging from the stadium dorm windows "Cigarette Ashes, Cigar Butts, we got Ole Miss by the Nuts - Pull Team Pull!!"
One more.....Auburn/LSU---Must have been 1980/81. I think Pat Dye was their coach. Late in the game. LSU leading in a low scoring game..Believe or not, I'm on the 50, upper deck, about six rows up in the chair section. Do or die---------------last play----------------AU throws in the end zone..... receiver wide open...I don't know if it was a LSU linebacker or what--but it looked like he RAN up a step ladder!!!!!!!!!!!!! He jumped SO high, I-N-T!!!!!!!!!!
