Ok nevermind I know know what you guys are talking about...Yeah that was great. I dunno how that slipped my mind
I think it's a toss up between the Auburn game in '95 and the first Georgia gamein '03. I was at both of those games. In the Georgia game, when the Dawgs tied the game at 10 late in the 4th with a 93 yd screen pass, I thought the crowd would die like it had in years past, but when 92,000 roared and began chanting LSU...LSU...LSU...LSU I knew we ere gonna win, and it was gonna be a special year. But the '95 game signaled that LSU football was back on the map. After six losing season under Archer and Hallman, DiNardo came in with the white Jerseys and beat a top 5 Auburn team. I'll never forget the sight of Troy Twillie coming down with that int on the last play.
The Tenn. "overtime" was in 2000 (38 - 31), we lost to Tenn. in the regular seson away in 2001 (26 - 18) and then of course beat them in the SEC Championship game (31 - 20). Anybody present for both Tenn. games in 2001 ? Box Score (Final) Tennessee vs LSU (Sep 30, 2000 at Baton Rouge) Score by Quarters 1 2 3 4 OT Score ----------------- -- -- -- -- -- ----- Tennessee........... 3 3 9 16 0 - 31 Record: (2-2,0-2) LSU................. 3 21 0 7 7 - 38 Record: (3-2,1-1)
Yep it did - My personal great game was the 97 Florida game - I still walk around everyday with the ticket stub in my wallet. First time I ever saw the goal posts fall.....
Besides the NC game in '03 ---- that was clearly the greatest game I've ever been to. The most exciting game I've been too was the ASU game in Tempe this year. Back and forth. Given the circumstances and the 4th down throw to Early Doucet was amazing!
Maybe the only more exciting game I've ever been to was the NC game this year between Texas and USC. I was about 20 yards from where VY scored the game winner.:geauxtige
The greatest game I ever saw in person was the 1958 game between LSU and Ole Miss. I was a kid selling 7 Ups. Saw Cannon make "the run."
