Zimmer charged him, he should have kept his old fat ass in the dugout.

Speaking of 04 I think that may have been the year Varitek bitched A-Rod too.

i agree but pedro weighed less.

and the crazy old bastard apologized for embarrassing the team and broke down and cried. he was 72 at the time and sincere as all get out. i respect him. hes a true baseball guy. he did a lot for the sport and never wanted the spotlight.

What's a dude supposed to do when he's charged? Let Zimmer spear him? He did more of a Matador fling, and Zim went flying. I liked him until he went to the Yankees, he managed the Cubs in the Ron Cey, Ryne Sandberg, Lee Smith, Andre Dawson, Larry Bowa, Joe Girardi days when the Cubs used to cut GI Joe.

A young boy used to break dance outside the Oakland Colleseum before games for whatever coins people would toss him. Charlie Finley saw the kid one day and hired him to dance on the field between innings. That kid grew up to become M.C. Hammer.

Well shit, I didn't dislike him that much. Maybe he'll be remembered as a Cubby.

Andre Dawson was the only player to win MVP while playing for a last place team.

The Hawk, I still can picture his stance and swing. Remember Lee Smith the closer with the dripping jeri curl, and Rick Sutcliffe with the strange way he hid the baseball by cupping his wrist almost right up until he released it?
