I saw Wayne Toups at the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge (my home town) circa 1986 when he was promoting this album. I know he's had his issues, but man he put on a show that night. There were thousands of people there and he couldn't believe that many people had showed up to hear him play. He didn't disappoint.

I also caught Zachary Richard at the Crawfish Festival one year. He had a "special guest" playing with him that night who he introduced as "Bayou Billy". The guy had a guitar and was wearing a basball cap pulled down low. After Zack had done his set, he announced that Bayou Billy was going to play a song. Well Bayou turned out to be John Fogerty who broke out with "Born on the Bayou". At that point the jig was up and everyone rushed the stage. It was awesome. After the "concert", I was able to get his autograph on an LSU coozy. Still have it.
