I like several plays from the 2000 CWS. Blair Barbier and Jeremy Wittens home runs in the 8th and then Cresse's hit in the bottom of the ninth to bring in Theriot with Cresse's dad in the stands cheering him on.
1. Cannon's Halloween run 2. Morris HR 3. Bluegrass Miracle 4. Hodson - Fuller Earthquake Game 5. Mauck - Green UGA 2003 6. Therriot scoring to win 2000 NC (proved Tigers could win small ball.) 7. Marcus Spears TD vs OU 2003 NC Game 8. Xavier Carter winning 4 NCs at 2006 NCAA meet 9. Davey - Royal TD in OT 2000 Tenn 10. "Hurricane" Herb Tyler 40 yd TD run vs UF 1997 YMMV. I'm sure if you ask me tommorrow, I'll come up with a different list (like Blanton 3 to beat UNLV 1989, Wilson jumper to beat Purdue 1986, Blanton layup to beat UK 1986 Regional Final, and many more.) GEAUX TIGERS
A great play that is ALWAYS overlooked. In the final of the '00 World Series (don't remember which inning) with the score already 5-2, Stanford had 2 on and 2 out. A Stanford batter ripped on down the 3rd base line. Blair Barbier made an amazing backhanded catch, robbing the hitter of a sure 2-run double, then from one knee, threw him out a first to end the inning. That play never got the credit it deserved because of Ray Wright's catch, then Barbier and Whitten's homers, and of course Cresse's game winning hit, but considering how close this game was, the 2 runs he saved were HUGE!!!
