Do you know how many solo tackles our starting MLB has so far this season? Granted, your MLB should be lighting up the stat sheet in this category, if he is worth a damn.
Anybody with the solo tackle count on Welter (3 game period)? For shits and giggles, you can roughly guess what Minter did in his final year at LSU to see the wide chasm between the two players. We might as well go to the stat sheet since Red's defense of Welter is largely based on this method.

So why don't we just put Minter in? Oh yeah, he's gone. And nobody has been able to take Welters job yet. Why do you suppose that is? Perhaps its because we had the weakest defensive line in 7 years. Only fools try to put that all on Welter.
