LSU and Alabama have arguably the two worst special teams in the nation right now. That's really crazy. We have to pray they make as many critical mistakes on special teams as we will.
Once again we see LSU either blowing coverage or it is a poor scheme. I think a lot of the issues are a combo of a D that isn't disciplined and poor schemes that teams are taking advantage of. Adams must start playing better, he looked like the next great LSU S, like Landry and Reid but this year he is all too often getting caught flat footed. The DL has improved immensely under O. Neal was having a solid season but last night he may have turned the corner. Monster game. I'd like to see O take over as DC.
I hate to say it but I think Bama is a letter better TEAM than us right now. Do others see the same? I'd gladly be wrong here.
I don't know, both special teams suck, both secondaries are suspect. I think both teams are good against the run, Alabama may be a little bit better, but I think LSU is better offensively.
I wouldn't use youth as an excuse here. Jefferson is a JR, Adams is a Soph with two years of a lot of PT, and I forget what Thomas is. The problem is we have two shut down, elite CB's in White and Toliver. There is no reason we should be allowing that many passing yards. Thomas must be replaced by Jackson who does a MUCH better job. Not sure what the hell the coaches are thinking!?!?!
