And Les Miles complains how we didn't close the game out like he would have liked. Throw a fucking 70 yard pass with 9 men in the box, you numbskull. Run plays that take advantage of what the defense gives you. Not what you stubbornly want to run regardless of the situation. God there are so many times I wish Les Miles would stay home for the game. Just recruit, coach em up during the week and then let your OC and DC run the show during the game. Cam Cameron wouldn't be running 1st and 2nd down with 9 men in the box only to throw an incomplete pass under duress on 3rd down.
He was in street clothes. I didn't hear about what his injury was about. My guess is it wasn't serious. But we're only 6 1/2 days away from the big game.
I'm thinking Miles tries his best to win by 1 point. When LSU needed to score to keep the game apart they did but when they forced a punt it was very awkward on offense.
It was frustrating that Auburn was trying their damnedest to score and we were fine with what we had. A half yard more on an onside kick and who knows what would have happened. Just saying when LSU WANTED to dominate we did. When Hill runs for 100+ in the first half the air is open in the second and especially in the 4th quarter. Trust your QB and playmakers please.
I have the feeling that after the first half we went back to experimenting for the future to be honest.
Les got too involved once the tigers were up 21 points instead of letting Cam loose. McGees fumble seemed to make Les wet the bed.
Go back an look folks, we got up 21-0 (LSU -69 Opponents-3 in the first quarter of 4 games this year....FYI) once there, when barn scored, we matched them score for score the rest of the game. At one time in the game, 229 yds rushing, 229 yds passing.
