Since 1877, Louisiana has had 28 Governors. Republicans have been in control 13.5 of the 132 years...or roughly 10% of the time. That should be enough time for red to blame them for all of our failures. 118.5 years under a Democrat. Great job guys...:thumb: I'll remember your wonderful administrations each time I hit a pothole driving around the state.

Before David Vitter took office in 2005, Louisiana had no Senators from any party than the Democrats. Are we starting to see a pattern here? Nice job of slamming Vitter but not mentioning the Ms. Piggy look-a-like that has done such a wonderful job for us.

You don't like the facts so you'll continue to call them opinions. I'll try to dig up a few more numbers when I have time but I don't sit around my computer all day like you do.

Face it red...you're a bleeding heart liberal DEMOCRAT who calls himself an independent simply because you want people to believe you're a non-conformist who needs no party to represent you. That's pretty arrogant.

You hate Republicans and hide behind comments like "I know me better than anyone else." You're probably more dependent on the Democratic Party than anyone on this site and it absolutely kills you when someone disagrees with you...which is quite often...because you feel like you're of superior intellect and none of us are worthy of your superiority. I'm just curious why you waste this talent in this forum instead of saving the world. :hihi:

(This ought to keep you busy for a little while.)

Sure, let's see . . . six #1 rankings out of 28 categories. Sounds good, but is it the best? What do other parishes rank?

I'm not and have never been a democrat, I'm a registered independent. It's a fact, go look it up in the courthouse. All your angry rants won't change it a bit. And stop thinking that you know what I believe, I'll speak for myself . . . you do the same.

You're the only one here who ever talks about my intellect . . . better you worry about yours instead of mine. Your inferiority complex is not my problem. You like to imagine what I think a lot, why is that? I spell out what I think very clearly here.

I love it when he makes a fool of himself. When he's losing an argument, he diverts attention by personally attacking his opponent.

I don't know and don't plan to waste hours looking it up. With 7-1's, 15-2's, 9-3's, 7-4's, and nothing lower...I can't imagine there are many parishes with similar results.

Why do I believe we see this in St. Tammany Parish? I think it's due to the large voting base of conservatives who place education above abortion, welfare, affirmative action, "medicinal" marijuana, and many other "social" (or maybe that's socialistic) issues.

Like I've said before, I was a registered Democrat for many years but got tired of their BS after I voted for Bill Clinton. Realizing he lied his ass off to get elected, my opinion started to change. What the Democrits have become since then is nothing more than appalling.

I've also mentioned I don't belive the Republicans are perfect (far from it) but considering the alternative, I'll continue leaning to the right. GOD help us through this Democratic administration so our children and grandchildren aren't still suffering the lingering effects of these nuts!

This is why I believe you're a DemoCRIT. You want a separate set of rules to apply to your opposition. Fairness Doctrine ring a bell?

Give it up, Purp. I am on record since day one that I am not a democrat. I'm legally registered as an independent. I support this democratic president until he does something that I can't support. But I have supported republican presidents, as well. There are people who stand between the divisive partisan politics of the extreme right and extreme left and it is time that you recognize it.

I've never once supported the fairness doctrine. You constantly try to paint me with the wrong brush because you live in a a black and white world and just can't perceive the shades of gray. If I ain't black, then I'm white.

The republicans have failed yet still preach failed policies and I cannot support them. That doesn't make me a democrat. Did you even pay attention to the last election? The republicans lost the moderates, big time. There are huge numbers of people to the left of you who are not democrats . . . they are just to the left of you.

Over the last 30 years the numbers have varied only very slightly. Moderates number 47 percent of the electorate, conservatives are 33 percent, and liberals are 20 percent. To win any election the liberals and conservatives must sway the moderates. Right now the conservatives have lost the moderates . . . but it doesn't make them liberals.
