So we have a Vice President who totally skews facts (lies?) to advance one agenda, and a Governor who inserts himself into an otherwise true anecdote to advance another. Whom do you feel was more in the wrong?

What part do you need me to prove that you can honestly say you don't already know?

-1 Republican Senator in 100 years
    -A handful of Republican Governors
    -Education rankings
    -Health rankings
    -Roads, infrastructure

What? Are you seriously not aware of our political history or rankings?

We're ranked very high in food, entertainment, fishing, hunting, music, events, fairs, landscape, and many other things that aren't influenced by our politicians...regardless of party affiliation. No party can take credit for our successes.

Now let's focus on the things that the government is supposed to be responsible for. Roads, bridges, schools, crime, income, pollution, etc,. etc.

If we're at/near the bottom in most categories (and have been our entire life) then it's easy to suggest that we've had some pretty lousy politicians along the way. Knowing that this state has been predominantly run by Democrats, why can't we draw the conclusion that they've been a monumental failure?

Why?...because some of you don't want to hear it because you want to believe the Democrats are perfect and can do no wrong. Louisiana is a great case example of why you never want to give too much control to the Democrats. They'll screw it up like usual.

Have we been blessed with great Republicans? No...and unfortunately of the few we've elected, a couple got caught pulling a Slick Willie. (at least they had the b@!!$ to admit it)

St. Tammany Parish has been at/near the top for the past three decades and has mainly been led by Republicans. Most of the crimes committed there are by New Orleans residents (most likely Democrats) and most of the weaker students arrived from Orleans and St. Bernard Parish after Katrina.

Argue all you want but instead of requesting an infinite number of statistics...please tell me why we're in this condition and please inform me of all the wonderful things the Democrats have done for this state.

Dick Cheney isn't vice president anymore, so give him a break.

The notion that all that is good in Louisiana is simply inherent and all that is bad is the democrats fault is amazingly naive and overtly partisan.

More sillyness that you don't even believe.

For once I agree with you, our two republican governors have accomplished nothing significant and our republican senator is a laughingstock whoremonger.

Once, just once, try to document your wild claims. Where is any evidence that:

    1. St. Tammany is the best parish.
    2. It has always been led by republicans.
    3. All crime and weak students in Tammany comes from Katrina democrats.

Good luck, I ain't holding my breath.

Nope, until you substantiate your case about St. Tammany, we can just consider it another wild claim from PT.

As far as democratic accomplishments, how about Huey Long who paved the state's dirt highways, built major bridges, provided free public education and textbooks to a formerly illiterate rural state. Huey Long and John McKeithen saw to it that LSU specifically got the resources it needed to bring it to where it is today. Louisiana has over a dozen 4-year colleges, twice as many as Arkansas, Mississippi, or Alabama. Louisiana Senators like Russell Long , Bennett Johnson, and Allen Ellender brought billions in funding to the state, from the Red River Waterway to making Fort Polk a permanent base to the creation of Interstate 49, and diverting oil dollars to Louisiana. All democrats.

Any claim that Louisiana democrats are responsible for all that is bad and for nothing that is good is so easily shot down that it is laughable.

You tell him, Red. Where would we be without the magnificent contributions of Earl Long, Edwin Edwards and Edith Babineaux Bunker?

First site I visited had these numbers for St. Tammany Parish. I didn't see anything lower than 4th in the state. I'm sure I could find more but I'll let you waste your time spinning this first red. :hihi:
