Amazing. This was the episode that I thought sucked. Way too much time wasted on killing zombies. I am so sick of zombie apocalypses. Too little Arya, too little Tyrion in this episode.
I just liked the fact that we finally got to see the White Walkers and the Army of the dead in action for the first time in either medium. I liked the Tyrion and Dany scene, Tyrion finally brought some damn life to Mereen. He is a great actor. The Arya scene I didn't like because it makes he House of Black and White look like some retribution home and that just doesn't seem right to me. The Cersei scenes were brilliantly done by Lena, Ramsay dropped the book name, and Sansa found out Bran and Rickon are still alive. In my opinion it was easily the best episode of the season.
Umm... did you not see Wun Wun stomping on fools? That was worth the price of admission. The seven kingdoms have Bigfoot on their side. The White Walkers are fucked.
"What the fuck are you looking at?" I liked the White Walker gazing out at Jon, raising his hands, and turning all of the corpses into the army of the dead. It was a huge "Watch this, asshole!" moment. I don't know why it is taking them so long to get to the wall. These are some quick fucking zombies. None of that walking slowly with their arms outstretched shit. These zombies jump of a 200 foot cliff, break all their bones, and then get up and run at your ass.
Man what a dick the Night's King is right? He is one arrogant dapper bastard. That tunic he was wearing was the shit.
Wun Wun wrecked fools, he was in the previews at the wall next week too. I wonder how he got on a boat.
I believe that is the Red Witch's plan. But I bet she wants some dragons with her. Apparently you can kill a white walker with obsidian or valerian steel. But nothing can stop the army of the dead except . . . a foot or so of water, it seems. It was good to see Cersei lapping up water from the floor after being a total bitch for 47 episodes. Surely she will get some payback on that nazi nun before her death.
Maybe this has been addressed in the books and I don't remember it (probably a Sam chapter), but I am thinking Valerian steel is forged in dragon fire or possibly cut with dragon glass. Also I seem to remember that Dragonstone is built a large deposit of dragon glass. Stannis might need to swing by the crib and pick that up.
Sam researched ways to kill White Walkers in the library and discovered that Dragonsteel will kill White Walkers, but nobody knew what dragnets was. Now we know that Valerian Steel and Dragonsteel are the same.
