Nope. While we do not have the explosiveness of Prothro, we still have some very good weapons. This is a different team, but just as good. In some ways, the injury may have helped unify the team. I am not saying the Prothro injury was good, but it was something to rally around. Make sense?

Many general observers of the game would suggest that your offense went into neutral September 6, 2003 in your 20-13 loss to Oklahoma and hasn't shifted out of neutral since.... suggesting the odds of it happening Saturday are slim to none.

Prothro made the single greatest catch in the history of football......period.
Pro or college or high school, etc. it was the greatest catch I've ever seen.

That being said I wish he was playing this weekend and I pray for a complete recovery for him. I wish Broussard was playing this weekend. I wish everyone was healthy for this game!

I HATE INJURIES for any team! They happen. Both teams have serious players out of this game. It happens. Let the best team win. On paper, we clearly win.

I say we can afford two turnovers and not over 50 yards in penalties and win this game. Anything above that.......we've got some issues.

I agree and I am not suggesting it is not, but their loss is not the end of the world or the Tide.

Those who believe that Bama's greatness in 2005 grew out of the talent of Mr. Prothro are woefully wrong!

The 2005 version of Alabama football is greater than one fine young man named Prothro.

The 2005 LSU Tigahs have to defeat one of the finest football teams that Alabama has ever put on the field!

This has very little to do with Monsieur Prothro!

The Fightin Tigahs will beat Bama . . . not Prothro!

Monsieur Prothro is NOT a ready-made excuse for the Bama Nation, should they lose. But, I confess that I wish that this fine young man were able to take the field on 12 Nov 05.

I want the winner of this LSU v. Alabama game to win the SEC Championship!!

Is that too much to ask?
