Not to drift the thread, but I gotta chime in on the thought that military members and families may feel angry at Bush because of the wars. I can fully understand the family members being disgruntled, because it's hard when a loved one is gone to a dangerous place for 7-15 months at a time, especially if there are children involved. But honestly, if any active duty person is angry at Bush because they have to deploy, that's like a firefighter getting angry because he has to fight fires. It's a volunteer force, holmes, you didn't have to join. The military has been at war long enough for anyone who joins to know that they're probably gonna get deployed.

For what it's worth, I'm glad Dubya was my commander-in-chief.

I can accept that, and by the same token, I bet Bill Clinton would be a lot of fun to have around when we're watching the Tigers blast Auburn or Ole Miss.:geaux: But its hard to look at that series of photos John posted in that other thread and assume there is nothing personal in those displays.

Sure, what did you expect, really? The pendulum always swings back. There is a political price to be paid when a party has been that wrong and out of touch with the mainstream. The democrats paid the same price after Carter. In fact, Republican vitriol of Carter and Clinton have barely abated.
