i agree on all points. no matter if it is the person i voted for or not, watching an inauguration is moving to me. to know we live in a country where a peaceful transition of power is not only possible, but expected. to live in a country where, as a woman, i have the right to vote. to live in a country where the right to vote means for someone other than the dictator whose name is the only one on the ballot.
Obama will live off blaming Bush for a year or two. I wonder what responsability a United States Senator takes in what happens. Because as i recall he was a Senator when all this happenned. And he is our savior. Be carefull what you wish for or you just might get it. I was not inspired by his speach and it sounded like a campaign speach blaming the republicans for everything. Giving him a free check to take us in the same debt spiral both parties have becomed accustomed too. There are no politicians left that believe in paying the bills and paying off this countries debt. Enjoy your media lovefest right now Mr. President because they are setting you up for the takedown.
Yes, with his and his friends pockets full and the country headed straight down the toilet. Classy......real classy.
I didn't ask if you thought we should be there or any of that. You commented on his monumental mistake. Which I agree was one of his biggest mistakes. I asked which mistake you thought wuold be better; the one he made or the one he could have made. I'm sure there are plenty of troops laughing at his comments, but I also know of 4 different young men whom I have the privlage of calling my friends that are serving in the armed forces (enlisted and officers), at home and abroad, who understand why they are there and are committed to the cause. So for everyone that makes fun of bush and laughs at his remarks, I am sure there is one who understands he made a mistake and is committed to actually completing the mission. Like I said before, I wish President Obama the best of luck and even though I didn't vote for him, it is my sincere hope that he does such an amazing job, that his 3+ year record will speak for itself the next time around and that I will have no problem supporting him during the election process as well as during his time of service.
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.
Yeah, yeah. You can't win an argument with your asinine, already lost position, so you just toss insults. Typical.
Not an insult, hoss. There are about 100,000 kurdish souls who say that Saddam's WMD's were not a figment of anyone's imagination. Put that in your 40 year old pipe and smoke it.
