Great recipes. I love hamgurgers. This may sound crazy, but for a totally different taste, I will fry a burger with just salt, pepper and a little garlic powder, and eat it on plain white bread with nothing but mayo. Wash it down with milk and you're good to go. :thumb:
Nothing really fancy, just ground sirloin, Jack Daniels Mesquite Bbq sauce mixed in, dash of Tonys, wrap the patties with bacon (tooth pic to hold in place), grill on pit with mesquite wood chips, medium rare to medium, melt sharp cheddar cheese. Remove the bacon, burger is perfect round, place on toasted wheat buns, slice fresh red onion, tomato, a bit of ketchup(no mayo or mustard it hides the flavor).
Depends on the flavor you want. I want a rich mesquite, hickory flavor. Now on a regular burger yep put ketchup and mustard. I never use mayo on anything, don't like the stuff.
Bud's Broiler, #4 with sauce ! (for you New Orleans Tigers). Same as a #2 with cheese. Toasted bun, Cheddar, onions, hickory BBQ sauce. The cheddar is underneath the patty. As simple as this burger is , I've never duplicated the exact taste myself ever. That's why it's intriguing to me. Must be the sauce, but it could be not eating it on a picnic table with " Johnny loves Julie " carved on it.
Yeah, that bbq sauce ruins it for me right there. It's doesn't look appetizing to me with all that sauce gushing out everywhere.
