    Short yardage = short to intermediate pass that doesn't take long to execute VS long pass that takes a while to develop

    So, you're saying if a WR happens to beat all of his coverage, he would go out of bounds and not score?

    Technically, perhaps, but not really. 4 & less than a yard from your own 40, for example. Spiking it? I get what you're saying though.
