As a kid I loved the high scoring games. However when Saban came to LSU and brought a defensive mentality I fell in love with it. Over the years the SEC dominated because of D. The SEC always had many of the top D's in the country. I loved watching those struggles. Yes, it can be painful if both O's are just inept. Just something about the hard hits and SEC passion.
Both teams have their one dimension. LSU did what they do best and Ole Miss couldn't. Got to give the crowd some credit this week. They rattled Wallace.
And that's saying something! I don't understand why the best conference in football should be saddled with the worst officiating. Maybe it has something to do with keeping horrible officiating the norm so when Bumma needs a helping hand from the officials nothing looks unusual.
The tiger is just being a tiger. It is the people managing him, that are failing. Mike III and IV were trained--not only to get into the cage, but to roar for the crowd. Mike is the most pampered big cat on the planet. For the life of me, I can't see how enticing this tiger into a trailer for an hour with a big bloody steak constitutes abuse. Hell it is a change of pace from the same old habitat. The handlers are not zookeepers. Their job is to manage a school mascot, whose sole purpose is to represent the school. Why else have a tiger?
People doni own cats. Cars own people. Evven getting a housecat into a cage for a trip to the vet can get your arms shredded
I watched the game with my thirteen-year-old, and she couldn't look away because the game was so exciting. Yes, when the lines can't dominate, trying to play smash mouth cannot work and is ugly. But when it all comes together...wow. Lou Holtz was so excited by that style of football last night that I could see the spit hitting the camera when he talked about our game-winning drive.
