I think we will be ok, ehhh, yeah ...ok, but for those of you whom will be coming to bury Coach O, and not to praise him, remember this - no quality proven winner will come work for an ass hat like Duke Alleva. I believe he has the reputation in the circles of power as the company schmuck.

I can give at least 4 games of Miles last 2 years where we quit like this.

We're an average football team and Mississippi State is a good football team. I think most of us felt deep down 7-5 maybe 8-4 was our calling this year but we were holding out cautiously optimistic based off Coach O losing a few close games and dominating Louisville in the bowl game.

No question Canada hasn't brought anything new other than his pre snap motion. I can still read our offense and know what we're about to run from the couch in my man cave. I'm sure D coordinators can too very easily from the press box.

I know it's only 1 game, but let's just call it what it is. Coach O isn't ready for this and probably never will be.

I walked out in the 4 th qtr a few years back when Irish came to town and were beating the crap out of the Fightin' Dinardos. We all have moments of clarity.

    My thoughts:

    1) We're an average football team at best talent wise, mainly due to youth. Our QB isn't young but he isn't a game changer either. Although he got zero help from his WR's and/or O-Line
    2) We're very young and inexperienced. This causes a lot of mistakes (penalties, bad pre snap reads, out of position, etc.)
    3) We have a very vanilla playbook on both sides of the ball. Very easy to defend and very easy to make adjustments and move the ball on.
    4) Injuries up front on the d-line (Alexander, Lawrence and Key is still not 100%) leave us with a very bad d-line.
    5) Our defense in general is just young and inexperienced. For most of these guys this was their 1st SEC game, 1st SEC road game and we lacked senior leadership out there.
    6) We are not giving Nick Fitzgerald and Mississippi State enough credit. They will be a good football team this year and probably finish 2nd in the SEC West.

I agree. Saving grace this season is that A&M, Auburn, Arkansas and Ole Miss are all just as bad and very winnable games. We are VERY fortunate the SEC West is down this year. But God I hope we go further into our playbook

How'd he do it last year? Don't throw the Bebe out with the bath water (per Hanigriff last night).

If things get really bad, LSU network might have to bring back Kevin Ford, the company stooge.

He did it last year with experienced leadership. Leonard Fournette (I know he was hurt) but his leadership helped Guice. Also we had a much better and experienced O Line, Jamal Adams, Kendall Beckwith, Duke Riley, Godchaux, A healthy Arden Key, etc. Even Dwayne Thomas experienced paid off for us in the Bama game.

This is a VERY young team learning new playbooks on both sides the ball. Remember we were not fully switched on defense last year either.

We got our ass kicked, no question. And of course that falls on the coach just as much as the players. But I think we got our ass kicked by a good football team. A much better team than we.

Not ready to bury O 3 games into his tenure with a young team.

I don't mean to crap in anyone's corn flakes, but when does Guice get a phone call from Jacksonville telling him, 'Bro, that o line is going to cost you money this May. Sprain your ankle'?
