We were a 19.5 point favorite, we won by 17.

Again, what were expectations around here?

We were a 4th down stop from winning 38-14.

Exactly. The defense is pretty good and the offense is pretty inefficient. We will win ugly or or barely lose in most games this year due to that. Given the option, Ill take win ugly.

We were predicted to lose to the U and AU also. I expected to see more, but I can flush this one pretty easy.

In retrospect, I think Aranda called this game in much the same way Ensminger called the SELU game. Very vanilla. Losing Lawrence and Delpit at the same time hurt, that's when Tech started putting some things together, and by the time we got those two back, they had momentum and confidence. Offense's problems continue to center around the line. Four starting units in four games, and at least one player leaving every game with an injury. That's murder on continuity. Hate to say it, but for all his accolades out of HS, Deculus is not ready yet. He was the weakest of the weak link. But overall, I feel better about last night this morning than I did last night.

Deculus played great save 2 penalties for jumping too early against Auburn. I think his issue last night was simply just not having Charles. Saddiq Charles is the anchor of the offensive line and when he is gone it really has a huge impact on everyone else.

By the way though, not nearly enough credit has been given to Lloyd Kushenberry this season. That guy just shows up to work, does his job and goes home. We haven’t seen any negatives from him this year.

And I agree with that honestly. But imo, right now at this point being not too far removed from the Troy loss... we shouldn’t take anything for granted, we should set out to destroy the will of any team who dares line up opposite us on that field. Especially in our own house. All i’m saying.

I knew we wouldn’t cover, no question.

This team has yet to play 4 quarters.
