1. People are very high on OM right now, but I expect that they'll do what they always have after a half-way decent season. They will struggle this year, as will Texas A & M, by the way. Manziel is in for some hurt this season, that is if he can get out of bed for a game.

  2. Yep, as if that boy didn't have enough to live up to he went and dug himself an even bigger hole to get out of. The sad part is their schedule is so cupcake it should have icing on it so even if he stuggles he just might salvage a decent season out of it.
  3. For whatever reason, this always seems to happen anytime they have even the slightest glimmer of improvement. I can't quite figure out why so many people so badly want them to be relevant again. Now they have a halfway decent recruiting class, which has people stepping on their peckers even more fervently to proclaim them as the dark horse. Meanwhile, we've been stockpiling top-notch classes for over a decade.

They often play us close b/c the game is usually near the ass end of the schedule, when we're beat-up from playing close games with NC and/or CCG implications, and they have momentum b/c it takes them half a season to figure out who they are. That's not the case this year; they get us in the middle of October, so I expect the dynamic to be a bit different.

More than anything, those expectations can damage a team that isn't ready for the bigtime. Have fun with that, Lol Miss.

  4. People are high on Hugh Freeze. He has done a lot to turn heads at that program. If I were an Ole Miss alum, my expectations would be higher for this season than any in a long time.
  5. I agree with this pick for Freeze is a exceptional coach. I am more in a want to defeat UGA more than any other opponent 2013. (not sure why)
  6. Is it because you predicted them in the NCG with tSOU?

Looks like we are going to have a long long year . We lost a lot of good players , I see us losing 3 games ,
  8. Losing good players is nothing new. I hope you don't mind it too terribly much when you're proven wrong.

  9. Thank you for posting such insightful information.
  10. The same thought red, using the same reasoning shane mentions, is thrown out there with people saying Ole Miss will beat A&M.

Yet, no one mentions that A&M had six turnovers in that game; they only point to a three point win. The crazy thing is they also say, "BUT they're playing in Oxford!"

They played in Oxford last year as well. (Ole Miss is six games under .500 at home in the last decade...hardly call that a home field advantage of any sort.)
