Clayton and Webster could probably go after this year and be very successful. The rest are not ready. Spears and Hill have great physical potential but they do not always live up to it though they are doing better this year. They would be served better by coming back and developing more. They need to develop their pass rushing skills more. Whitworth and Wilkerson are not ready as well. Up until the last three games the line play has been a little inconsistent with both the run and the pass. Before these last three games the line has not lived up to their preseason hype. Not to say they are not doing good just not yet consistent enough to be all world like we thought.
I think of these we may lose Clayton, & possibly Spears & maybe Webster. IMO, Spears still need still another year.
I agree. I'm not sure if Webster is a high-rounder, so he may decide to stay and improve his stock. But these two will get attention from the NFL.
Webster is only in his 2nd yr as a DB. He will vastly improve his stock following a solid Sr season. Clayton is 50-50 IMO. How this season plays out will have a lot to do with his decision. He is such a team player, that if his team goals aren't met, I'm not sure he will leave. Staying for another season often shows the maturity that the pros are looking for in the early rounds. Nobody wants to draft head cases (e.g. Moss) any more.
They could all stay. Saban has the trust of these guys and helps them manage the business of football. I believe with the way the offense is coming around all these guys stock goes up after next year and the defense remains solid so no one hurt but a lot of physical questions answered. Mauck has not said anything to diffuse the leaving eary for school thing but that's probably at he advice of the coaching staff plus Mauck is a pretty cool custumer. But JR should be ready to go next year. But would love to see Mauck another year.
Both Mike Williams and Larry Fritzgerald are True Sophomores and will be back next year. However Reggie Williams and Mark Clayton are juniors and both are likely first round material. So they could leave. If Michael Clayton decides to stay for his Senior year he will not be the first overall WR taken. Both of them will be selected before Clayton in 2005.
Clayton most likely won't be the first WR taken if he goes this year or next (Definitely not this year). I could see Webster going and I think his stock is quite high. At the moment he's probably a 2nd rounder at best though.
