I don't think there is a shortage of secular wars in the history of the world. I'll not argue that there aren't a lot of religious folks with a juvenile understanding of spirituality. Finding warmth in the act of organizing chaos for the sake of organization is as loony as any religion, if not more so. Your wit is a futile attempt to matter in a world of chaos, even if you can't accept that. Contrary to claims of not knowing, this smacks of knowing.
Well I think this can be answered/talked about in 2 different ways. 1. It's like the label on clorox bottles. They clean 99.99% of bacteria. Or just like you might be 99.9999999999% straight. You don't know that something couldn't happen because it might. And if you haven't lived through that time yet the possibilities of actions is infinite. 2. With that said and within those infinite possibilities yes their could be God. But you are now assuming that God is good, God cares, God talks, God created the Bible, God gave us his child, God this and God that. When in actuality God could be the exact opposite of what you think. God could be bad, God could not care, and God probably doesn't have any human qualities.
I don't know anything for sure because there is no evidence. What you believe doesn't have any evidence either but I am 100% positive it is stupid. You're right. That's completely logical and not at all a double standard.
These are the same tired old arguments. No believer here has cited the infamous Pascal's wager. We all have personal relationships with our Creator. You are assuming we're just doing things in order to hedge our bets. :rolleye33:
How is it then that the bumbble bee flies when all the laws of science say it just isn't possible?
