You are only calling what you know and believe as facts. Facts are universally agreed upon. God did not create morality. And if he did what's the point of free will.

Well, many of them do come from holy books, just not from actual deities. "Do unto others . . ." is a basic, universal moral concept. It matters little if Josephus wrote it instead of J.C. It matters little if you believe it because you think God commands it or because it's the right thing to do.

Spirituality is timeless. If you want to break it down by religion, I basically agree, but spirituality has been around since before cavemen drew on caves. I asked the atheists here, what is the point of rationality in a world where there is no point to life? If there is no point to life and life is just random, then why try? To be the noble hero who furthers the human race, who will eventually peter out anyway? I do believe that atheists or whatever you call yourselves are often closer to God than some who blindly follow religion, but those of you like martin who have no reverence for anything are living life far too egocentrically. For all you doubters who want to be honest, wouldn't you exhaust all arguments that counter your doubt? There are tactile procedures to undertake that are reported to make the world of spirituality more palpable, more attainable. martin cutely says something like, "I mediate all the time because I just sit on my bed and do nothing," but that is not an honest attempt. Instead of shooting bb's at Christianity and feeling superior, why not take it upon yourself to disprove the palpable? I think it is fair to say that before Christianity there was a lot less love, compassion, and civility in the world.
